Arch Burr
Arch Burr is a six-piece burr, but not a regular one. Six bent pieces intersect each other at two different places. The object is to take the six pieces apart and then put them back together again. In the past, a metal version of the Arch Burr was produced by Bits and Pieces. This one however, has been made using a 3D printer by designer Oskar van Deventer. Made on his new Dutchy printer using a material called “3D-printed birch wood”, it is actually transparent PLA with a lot of very fine birch wood grain mixed through. This makes the puzzle smell of scorched wood. He chose this material because of its smooth non-plastic looks. The puzzle takes four and 11 meter of 1.75-mm filament. It weighs 20 grams. This unique custom-made version is perfect for the collector and burr puzzle lover!Oskar van Deventer has created many different puzzles including his brand of Oskar Puzzles which are mechanical puzzles and objects that can only exist thanks to 3D printing technology. Since 1978, he has been creating hundreds of mechanical puzzles, making him one of the world's most prolific designers. Several of his innovative designs are commercially available.
